Updating Your Website Content

How to make content changes to your website using the CMS.

Your website includes a content management system (CMS) that lets you update text, images, and other content without touching code.

Accessing the CMS

  1. Go to your website URL followed by /admin
  2. Log in with your credentials
  3. You'll see your content dashboard

Common Tasks

Editing Text

  1. Navigate to the page or section you want to edit
  2. Click on the text field
  3. Make your changes
  4. Click "Save" or "Publish"

Replacing Images

  1. Navigate to the image you want to replace
  2. Click on the image or "Change" button
  3. Upload your new image
  4. Add alt text for accessibility
  5. Save your changes

Adding Blog Posts/News

  1. Go to the Posts or News section
  2. Click "New Post" or "Add New"
  3. Fill in the title, content, and meta information
  4. Add a featured image
  5. Set the publish date
  6. Click "Publish"

Image Guidelines

For best results when uploading images:

  • Hero images: 1920x1080px or larger
  • Thumbnails: 800x600px
  • Team photos: Square, at least 500x500px
  • Format: JPG for photos, PNG for graphics
  • File size: Under 500KB when possible (we'll optimize automatically)

Some changes need our assistance:

  • Adding new pages or sections
  • Changing page layouts
  • Modifying forms
  • Adding new features or functionality
  • Design changes (colors, fonts, spacing)
